Maximum Engine Protection - Wear on rings and cylinder liners leads to increased oil consumption and loss of compression, resulting in reduced horsepower and fuel economy. Independent testing shows AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty delivers 6X more wear protection than required by the Detroit Diesel DD13 Scuffing Test for Specification DFS 93K222, delivering the security of providing your diesel the extra protection it deserves.

Viscosity Control
Using top-tier synthetic base oils, AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty is naturally resistant to oxidation and the thickening effects of soot contamination. That, along with boosted detergent/dispersant additives, keeps soot particles suspended independently, helping prevent the formation of larger, wear-causing particles. Viscosity increase is minimized and soot-related wear is controlled. Lower volatility also helps Signature Series Max-Duty retain its viscosity after high-temperature service for maximum engine protection and efficiency.

Excels in Extreme Temperatures
AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil resists thermal (heat) breakdown better than conventional and competing synthetic diesel oils. Unlike conventional oils, Signature Series contains no wax, staying fluid in sub-zero temperatures for easier starting, improved oil flow and reduced wear. Signature Series 0W-40 (DZF) has a broad viscosity range that offers 4X better cold-cranking ability than a 15W-40, making it excellent for use in both hot-operating engines and cold-weather starting extremes.

Minimizes Oil Consumption
AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty has a low rate of volatility (burn-off), reducing oil consumption during operation and passing less oil vapor into the combustion chamber. It provides up to 76 percent less oil consumption than required by the API CK-4 standard in the Caterpillar-1N oil consumption test.

COMPATIBILITY
AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil is compatible with other conventional and synthetic engine oils. Mixing AMSOIL diesel oils with other oils, however, will shorten the oil's life expectancy and reduce the performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed.

Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL synthetic diesel oils.

SERVICE LIFE
Diesel Engine Service Life

Heavy-Duty On-/Off-Road: Three times (3X) OEM1 recommendation, not to exceed 60,000 miles/600 hours or one year, whichever comes first.

Turbodiesel Pickup: Two times (2X) OEM1 recommendation, not to exceed 25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.

Gasoline Engine Service Life
Two times (2X) OEM1 recommendation, not to exceed 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.

Drain intervals may be extended further with oil analysis.

Refer to your owner's manual for OEM drain interval recommendations and guidelines for severe and normal service.

Note: Extended drain intervals are not recommended for performance-modified engines, when using biofuels containing more than 10 percent ethanol or 15 percent biodiesel (B15) or for 2007-2009 Caterpillar* C13 and C15 on-highway engines. Extend drain intervals beyond OEM recommendations in these instances only with oil analysis. Note: 2007-2010 Dodge**, Ford** and GM** turbodiesel pickups are also not recommended for extended drain intervals when using DHD.

Best oil for emission sensitive vehicles

Use on my stock 2012 duramax with over 100,000 miles. No issues with dpf or other emission systems. With oil analysis, it holds up great for around 15,000 miles.

I have a 2006 Dixie Chopper XT 3300 with the 33 horsepower Generac engine this oil excels in high heat continues to hold its viscosity oil still very clean after 100 hours that if I wanted to I could go to 200 hours before Servicing

I used this in my kubota m7040 tractor and I'm very pleased with the product. Usually after runnning regular oil in it, after just a couple of hours it will already turn black, but after running 40 hours on the AMSOIL, it is still very clean.

Use this on my work truck, didnt notice a huge difference in performance, it still is rough but that may be because the truck is a 7.3l diesel, which are not smooth running engines. I did notice slight increase in fuel economy. We drive the truck a lot and no issues.

I Can't Beat It.

I use this product in my 13 Frieghtliner with a DD15. 60-70000 km between oil changes. My DD15 does burn or lose any oil, as a matter of fact I don't have to add a drop. My oil pressure is higher before a service then regular brands overall. I can't rave enough about this oil.

Measurable advantages!!!

Love Amsoil products. I run their lubricants in every oil reservoir in my truck. I don't have a temp gauge on my crankcase oil, but in my transmission, changing to Amsoil brought the temp of the oil down a measurable 10 degrees. that is significant.

I find their products well worth the money, their filters well built, and they ship promptly. It's not a hard decision to make.

First time switching from Shell conventional. I used Amsoil flush before hand and installed the Amsoil bypass filter. The only noticesble difference is that of lower okl pressure. I'll check the oil cleanliness in a few weeks.

The best oil in the business! Keeps my 2004 6.0 running strong. Still running original injectors, high pressure oil pump and head gaskets. I run it 10k with OEM oil filter changes every 5k. Nothing else goes in my trucks!

Big Changes

The proof is in the results. I tested the Rotella T6 from dodge and had higher than averages in Iron, copper and silicone. With the amsoil all of those are back within spec on the 1st run of amsoil. I ran the amsoil 500 miles longer than the Rotella. My second batch of amsoil is in the engine right now with 2000miles on it.

Only the Best for My Truck

Been using this since the original oil was changed out. When I get the chance to talk of how I feel about what is required to make a Diesel engine to be environmentally compliant, (which I'll hold my opinion). No matter how long or short a conversation is, the one question asked of me is what oil am I running? After answering Amsoil, their response is usually, I'm running the best, or if someone is another brand loyalist, their response is it's one of the leading oils out there!
After reading and watching videos on Amsoil, it was a simple choice!

Another great product!

On my last oil change, I switched to the 15W-40 Signature series Max-Duty synthetic Diesel oil. I had been running the 15W-40 Heavy duty Diesel and Marine oil since 2008 with excellent results, so when this one came out I figured why not give it a try. So far, the oil has performed exceedingly well. Engine runs cool, smooth and quiet. I own a 2006 Silverado 2500HD LBZ Duramax which is aproaching 400,000 miles and it's still running great. Oil change intervals have averaged between 12000 - 18000 miles for the life of the truck. I still don't even need to add any oil between changes. I run Amsoil lubricants throughout the whole truck.

Have used your products for over 200000 miles in two Chevys

I have run your oil and your bypass filter system over 200,000 miles while towing a 10,000 pound travel trailer most of those miles.
I have had zero problems during that time.
I change the oil one time per year, the bypass filter one time per year, and the full flow filter two times per year, while putting about 20,000 to 25,000 miles on the truck. This takes all the hassle out of oil changing, and no problems. I had the oil analyzed for 5 years, and never received a result that indicated the oil needed changing at the end of the year.

I change my oil every 8 to 10 thousand miles with a 2 quart micron bypass filter. I added myself very easy with kit 215000 miles and never lost a fuel injector, of course bullet-proofed it no problems love it

superior oil, not for cummins

this is a superior oil to other diesel oils but at least on a 5.9l cummins the oil gets way to thick from the soot at around 5000 miles, I would not recommend going past that interval, I am using the amsoil filter as well.
My 7.3 power stroke takes 15W40 and goes 20k miles before getting that bad.

This oil doesn't stand up to the amount of soot produced in 5.9 cummins in my experience which is why I give it 4 stars

Amsoil - 5 Star All The Way

If you have a powerstroke diesel (any year) you need to run Amsoil oil along with the oil bypass system. My results from Blackstone Labs have been outstanding. We pull a 5th wheel camper and because of the heavy work that the truck does - we change our oil every 7,500 miles / 200 hours.

This is the only oil I will use in my 2017 F250 6.7 period.

You notice right away after you use this oil in your diesel engine. Sounds quieter and runs smoother. I combine this oil with the amsoil oil bypass filter and Dans from amsoil install kit. I take oil samples and send to amsoil agent. Oil has maintained its initial install standards. Unbelievable.

The best I can care for my truck

Amsoil is legendary synthetic oil. I purchased the Amsoil dual bypass oil filter and wanted to compliment the protection for my vehicle by adding the best synthetic oil available. After doing my research, I feel as though I am providing the ultimate protection for my truck. I am no mechanic, however, truck runs excellent and I am pleased with my purchase. Diesel oil

I use this product in a 2012 Ram with a 6.7 Cummins motor. The oil does get very dark between changes.
Have not had any issues, and motor oils do get strained with diesels.

Engine clean?

I have a 2007 GMC Diesel with the LMM engine and over 300,000km's. I did the first oil change and i was surprised that the particulate sensor said it was due for another change within 5000km's. I figured it was cleaning out the carbon and residue from the old oil change and changed it again. This time it went longer but still less than it should. The third change we went on a family vacation which involved towing our trailer over 6000km's. Came back and still had over 30% left. I suspect inwas right and this oil was cleaning out the deposits and gunk from my old oil. Moral of the story, if it seems to be getting dirty faster it probably is, but once it is cleans out the old seems to last longer and work better. I'll let you know in another 100,000km's or so.

I run Ams oil in my truck, SUV and motor cycle .It costs a little more but to me it's worth the extra cost.. I tend to push my oil changes a little longer so I just use what I think is the best.

Excellent Product

Switched my 2015 powerstroke over to this when it hit 20k miles. Now at 135k and zero problems. When it says "change oil soon" I go online and order it, 2-3 days later it is here. Wish there was a better price break on the gallon jugs rather than having to pour in 13 individual quarts as it is cheaper by the case.

Nothing else goes in my truck

When I ordered my duramax in 08 I wanted to run the best oil and fluids because I don't plan on buying another 65,000 truck. I researched extensively and found the decision easy. Everything but the radiator has amsol. I'm at 320,000 problem free miles. With the exception of the headlights that regularly burn out, I haven't had one single issue with my truck. I bought a 24' triton boat with a 300 yamaha and the day my warranty ran out it also got refilled with amsol marine oil. .

Makes my engines happy, and me happier

Well, the reality is... Diesel maintenance is expensive, no two ways about it.

With this oil I can run longer intervals with less deterioration and degradation, even on the heui engines I own and maintain (which works oil to the max)

I have to say, with the oil analysis that I get back consistently telling me that my engines are happy to run extended change intervals ((while still changing filters at normal intervals)) I'm a happy camper, over the next ten years I'll save tons of money.. tell me that wouldnt make you happy.

Best Diesel Oil!

I use this product in my Ford F250 6.0L PSD. I noticed my turbo spooling up easier and quicker after switching from conventional oil. The 6.0L PSD's are very tough on the oil due to the high shearing of the oil pressure run fuel system and the lubrication of a hot turbo. Many professionals highly recommend changing at 6000 miles in the 6.0 PSD. I run my diesel kind of hard with pulling a lot of heavy loads and running a hot tune for daily driving and playing around, my last oil change was at 9000 miles. Oil was still full without adding any, still feels more slippery than new conventional. I reuse it in old oil burning engines and it cuts the oil consumption in half. A relative of mine has been using my drained Amsoil in their beater car for over a year and it cut way down on the oil consumption. I would run the oil longer in my 6.0, but like to recycle it into the older engines. I use only the Amsoil long life oil filter. I may purchase the oil test kit in the future just to see if there is any depletion in the strength of the oil, but I am very happy with my use of this product.

Was using Mobil Delvac 1. Would change oil at 15000 miles, changing the filter at 7500. Doing oil analysis at 15000 miles the oil was at 70%. Switching to Amsoil I change at 25000 changing the filter at 12500 the oil is just a little over 80%. Results speak for themselves.

Max Duty 15w-40 Diesel Oil = Good Stuff

I am relatively new to Amsoil but have and have both Duramax and Cummins - currently have a L5P Duramax with an Amsoil Duel Bypass oil filter set up which I did not have on my previous Duramax. Thus, apples to apples may not be in the following:

1. Blackstone reports come back much better than with the Rotella T-6 I was using in the prior '15 Duramax actually with about 7500 vs 5000 miles.
I got some usage w/Rotella T6.

2. A bit of oil usage with the Rotella t-6 but absolutely none with the Amsoil.

Repeat not apples to apples exactly as different engines and the L%P has a duel bypass set up on it.

AMZING STUFF 429,000 miles

I use the 5w40 and 15w40 in my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 cummins ... when I got the truck it had 378,000 also had little blow-by.. it ran mobile 1 most of its life .. switched to AMSOIL signature series (max-duty) and the blow-by was gone and it also slowed down completely with drinking some oil .. 7-10,000 and I might need to add 1/2 qt this stuff is AWESOME .. now I have 429,000 and this cummins runs like its NEW with 10,000 miles on it .. everyone that I know with a cummins , I get them hocked on it also .. everything I own has AMSOIL

I have used Amsoil products for years and will continue to.

I use this oil in my '02 2500 Ram Diesel to protect that engine for the long haul. The 5.9L Cummins is the last of the "loud ones" for Dodge. I want to try for 750,000 to 1 million miles before it needs any real work put into it. That sound is one of the reasons that I bought it in the first placeI love how it runs and I get great longevity out of the oil. If you run a diesel you would be crazy to not try some in yours. Worth every penny!

Solid Amsoil User

First time have used Amsoil diesel oil. So far so good. However I didn't notice much change in fuel economy after using Amsoil 5W40 SS diesel oil for my first oil change in this truck, in town driving. High way driving did show some improvement, all the way up to 30.2 mpg, previously had gotten 29 mpg. I think part of this is my motor is still breaking in as diesels take awhile to do so. Overall I am pleased & have used Amsoil in both of our vehicles going on 18 years.

The only oil

I was told it was it would help eliminate dust particles from the DEF system that build-up in an engine. It has helped with eliminate dust buildup in the engine significantly. Immediately after using the first time, many miles ago, I felt more power being produced from my engine. I'm a very satisfied customer.

I use Amsoil in all my vehicles.

I have used Amsoil for 20 years. I like the extended oil change intervals, it saves me money and doesn't damage my equipment. I took oil samples and had them tested after 18,000 miles. They came back no wear and more mileage before changing. This was on a 1978 Dodge van with 180,000 miles. I currently use Amsoil in my 2006 Ford F350 6.0 diesel FX4 in all gear boxes, and 2012 Ford fusion. I am very satisfied with Amsoil performance.

I use nothing but AMSOIL in all of my vehicles.

I use AMSOIL in my 2007 Dodge RAM 3500, my wife's 2013 Ford Edge, 3 Waverunners, and all of my power equipment. I have not experienced any issues with any of these applications. Warranties are not voided, and fuel mileage in both vehicles is improved compared to conventional oils.

My Dodge Ram has the Cummins 6.7 liter diesel with 268k miles. The truck is still purring like a kitten, and doesn't burn a lick of oil. I am still on the original transmission without any re-builds as of yet. (very uncommon for the Mopar trannies). I extend the oil change intervals to every 9k miles, even though the manual states not to extend. I have not witnessed much , if any fuel dilution in the oil.

My Wife's Ford Edge has a mere 78k miles on it. I change the AMSOIL Premium oil in her car every 15k miles, even though the AMSOIL reference sheets state she could go 25k. I just like being careful.

I run the marine 10W30 in the Yamaha Waverunners and have smooth acceleration, without any vibration or oil burn.

Overall, I love the AMSOIL products and would recommend to anyone looking for a top end, fully synthetic, highly protective oil.

I became aware of And oil in 1985. I knew how good synthetic oil was as my older brother was a petroleum engineer and he declared that synthetic oil would soon be the dominant motor oil. I had my brother run some tests on a quart of And oil and he reported that the stuff was off the charts. He and I became long time customers. I have never had any type of engine failure due to poor oil performance.

Installed AMSOIL in my old Chev Diesel. Changed the filter every 5000 miles . Checked quality of oil each time. At 20000 miles the oil was still good. Amen. This was at 100000 miles and used a quart every 3000 miles .mwhrn traded atb441000 miles it used only 1/2 guard in 10000 miles . Had an old 99 suburban diesel bought used. Was up to 1 quart every 4500 miles when traded at 352000 miles.

Love my truck

The oil in my 199 F-250 SD with 7.3 diesel, bought new, use to get its oil changed every 3-5K miles for the first 6 oil changes. Then the switch was made to Amsoil Synthetic, with Amsoil oil filter. The oil still looks new after the first 3-4K miles and is changed every 10K miles. Although I have had no problem with this vehicle related to lubrication, the vehicle may be considered low mileage with 262,000 miles and o8il consumption has been greatly decreased. Love this oil.

200,000 + miles

I bought a 2001 F250 with 70,000 miles on it. After a couple of trips to a local quick oil change every 5000 miles at a cost of 150.00 I decided to try Amsoil diesel oil and am very glad I did .I use Amsoil diesel oil and filter I have extended the oil changes to yearly this by itself is a substantial cost savings the truck runs great and averages 16 mpg. Excellent motor oil products

I've been using Amsoil motor oil in my 2007 Ford F350 diesel now for past 9 years. Each time I change the oil, which is every 5000 to 6000 miles, I also take an oil sample for lab analysis. The lab reports have always good. No appreciable wear, and it's viscosity after 6000 miles is well within acceptable ranges. Internal parts of the engine remain extremely clean, no deposits or sludge buildup.
I also use Amsoil XL motor oil in my 2016 Subaru Outback, and before that, a 2010 Forester and never had any engine problems.
I am extremely sattisfied with all their products, from engine oils to gear lubes, which I have been using in my F350 for 9 years.

Worst oil for L5P Duramax

I had this oil in my L5P Diuramax for 5,000 miles. I have never heard such a loud clicking noise come from this motors till I put this oil in. Will never use again. Oil consumption went from zero to adding a half quart every 1500 miles with this oil. Could not wait to get it out of my engine.

I bought a new GMC 3500 Duramax in 2005. The first OIL change was AMSOIL Max Duty Diesel pool 15W-40. With this OIL I only need to change OIL once a year (AMSOIL recommends once every 20000 miles) and I only have 10k per year. 7.3L Diesel vs cold weather

In addition to long interval oil changes my oil has to get me through all four seasons especially the cold North Eastern winters. I've tried many brands of oil and Amsoil Signature Series has proven to be the best. Cold starts no longer an issue if I forget to plug in my truck overnight or just leave it off for a shift at work. I really like this oil and trust Amsoil products.

At first the motor was running smooth. I was excited and thought I had the best oil on the market. A couple if months later I can see the final results. Amsoil is good as like the rest of syn. I'm running the 15w-40 Amsoil Signature Diesel in my Corvair air cooled engine in my 22 foot RV. Very heavy duty use for a 3 liter engine from the '60's, and it performs perfectly, along with the Amsoil 75w90 Severe Gear in my differential, and Amsoil ATF in my Powerglide transmission. Amsoil is a great oil. I personally change oil in 8 automobiles and light trucks. Also 1 motorcycle and two lawnmowers. My highest mileage is 200250 miles. I can tell you that Amsoil and their filters will do a superior job. The only down side is the shipping charges. Amsoil is priced about the same as Mobile 1, but the charges mean you pay top dollar.

Great Long Lasting Oil

I have changed all fluids to AMSOIL. The oil viscosity is superior to any on the market. I do the recommended oil change to may 2500HD Duramax. Even after a 10,000 mile oil change the lubrication in the oil is still as if it were brand new. AMSOIL is the best to run in any motor. Give it a shot you have nothing to loose with using AMSOIL products.

I really appreciate the ability to use the "My Garage" to identify the products and capacities listed for each of my vehicles. That with Amsoil's excellent write ups on their products gives me a piece of mind that I have the right fluids for each vehicle.

Always quality. I run this in my 2009 Ram 6.7 Cummins. Been running nothing but Amsoil since I bought it in 2010 and no issues.
I also use Amsoil Signature 5w30 in my hotrods too. I have a 1967 Chevelle SS with Chevrolet crate 502 as well as a 2013 Camaro SS 1LE
I never worry about oil related issues with Amsoil.

I trust Premium 15W-40 Synthetic Diesel Oil in my truck.

This is the only oil I have used in my 2008 Chevy 3500 HD truck since the first oil change. At this time it is not a high mileage truck and generally change the oil due to time limitation and not mileage. However when the truck is being used it is under somewhat severe conditions and I trust Amsoil to take care of it. I will not at this time consider any other engine lubricant for this truck.

I began using AMSOIL 15w-40 Synthetic Diesel oil 3 years ago. I can tell a definite difference in the performance of the truck & there has been increased fuel mileage with & without towing my 5th-wheel. I also have extended the interval of oil changes to 15,000 to 18,000 miles.
Based on my positive results with this product I also had my transmission fluid changed to Amsoil.

I use The 15-40W in my 2014 Ram 3500 with a Cummins 6.7 diesel engine. I pull a cargo trailer daily for my construction business and also have a 40 foot 5th wheel trailer that I am on the road with 45 - 60 days a year. I never have to worry if the engine is being well lubricated.

I have been using amsoil in my truck form the day I got it about 5 years ago, Chevy silverado 2500hd Duramax and I have to change my injectors out at 169000 miles the inside of my engine was so clean you could have ate off it. I now have 240000 miles on the truck and drive it as a daily driver over a 100 miles a day. And still use amsoil

Did an oil change and filter and first week I notice that the engine had smoothed out , and my mileage went from 11.3 liters per 100 k down to 10.6, that's just in 22 kilometer ride to work .Can't wait for a highway run coming in September.

Premium 15-40 diesel oil

Been using the oil since the vehicle had reached 25000 miles. Now it has just short of 120,000 miles. The oil lasts one year. I notice no oil comsumsion between oil changes. Use the truck to pull trailers beside just normal driving. Also belive that the oil aids in cold starts during the winter months. Starting in sub zero weather has not been an issue as todate.

Excellent Product

I switched from the standard Rotella 15W-40 about 1.5 years ago to the Amsoil 15W-40, and was the best thing I could have done! Though some of the new diesels are rated for 7500 mile oil changes, when using Rotella I still changed it every 3k miles. With the new emissions on these trucks, the regular oil doesn't last near as long. After only 3k miles, the oil was almost as thin as water, and the lubricity was nearly gone.
After switching to Amsoil, I can go the full 7500 miles and then some (with oil analysis), and the oil still feels like new. I have since started using Amsoil to replace all the fluids in my truck.

Great Product

Amazing. I have noticeable temperature drops. I run it past the recommended oil change intervals, although that is not recommended. Combined with the Wix filter and it starts easy, runs cooler, and longer intervals. Not a single bad thing to say.

My Brother Convinced Me

My brother has owned an F250 Diesel for over 10 years. He told me that his truck performs the same as it did 10 years ago and he has had no fuel injector or motor problems. His friends have had those kinds of problems with their trucks. The difference he said is that he has been using AMSoil in this engine and transmission, and his friends did not. So when I bought my GMC 2500HD Diesel, I bought AMSoil for my truck. Their record is impressive. If I can trust my brother, who can I trust?

I have been using Amsoil in my diesel towing vehicles sense 2004, when I purchased my first diesel GMC 2500 pickup. I tow a 10,000 pound Airstream Travel Trailer 10,000 to 15,000 miles a year, and change my oil one time each year. I have used an Amsoil Duai Filter System with the Bypass filter. I change the Full Flow Filter two times per year, and the Bypass filter one time. I got my oil analyzed each year just before my oil change for six years. I never had the lab recommend I change the oil. I put 125,000 miles om my first Amsoil truck, then sold it to a friend in 2014. The oil I am reviewing was bought for that friend, that is stil towing a Travel Trailer and changing the oil like I did.
I now have a 2015 Chevy 3500 Diesel set up just like my 2004 GMC was for Amsoil and dual filters. The order for this oil also included the oil and filters for my new truck. I look forward to getting the same results with this truck doing the same job.

The best oil out there!

I use Amsoil in my 2015 F-250. This oil holds up under the stresses that come with running 11 hrs. a day 5 days a week in commercial use. My 2015 already has 155k miles on it thanks to Amsoil, without any engine problems. I have tried other oils, even Royal Purple Duralec, but none compare to the 15-40's strengths when under the high temperatures of Summer in the south and the cold temperatures of the north in Winter.
